同じ「すし秀」でも、四谷の本店よりも、紀尾井町の紀尾井町ビルの一階に入っている支店の方がお勧めです。
なによりも喫煙カウンターと禁煙カウンターを分けてくれているのが最高に嬉しい。正直いって、煙草を吸いながら鮨屋に来る馬鹿が多いのには閉口するが、ここではそれにイライラしなくて良い。
店もこじんまりしているけど、清潔で、カウンターの手触り、幅など、ちょうどよい感じ。
肝心の料理は、酒を飲まない人間にはチト辛い。なぜならばツマミが旨いからです。ここは酒を飲みながらツマミを色々とおまかせで出してもらって、最後に名物のさば巻き寿司とお好みでおなかを一杯にするお店です。季節のものはしっかりと仕入れている。
それでいて大将は若いのでとても気さく。銀座の老舗にありがちな、ジジイが偉そうに講釈たれたり、不機嫌そうな顔をしている店とは違うのでとても嬉しい。時々、小僧さんが飲み物を間違えるのは愛嬌ですが、接待するならばお勧めの鮨屋です。
ただ、値段は銀座価格です。旨いのでしかたありませんが、ビルの一階の店だからとなめてかかると会計で青ざめるのでお気をつけて。私が、銀座のすし椿、こぐれと並んで愛用する鮨屋です。
