One Thursday in the month, during the quiet hours of 2:15 p.m., I visited a Japanese-style Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) style Restaurants. There was no one waiting in front of the store, and when I entered the store, the counter seats and table seats were already about half full. I sat down at the counter and started thinking about what I would have for lunch that day. The ordering system at this store is the latest touch panel type, and seasonings such as soy sauce, lemon juice, and shichimi chili pepper are neatly lined up on the table. After looking through the menu, I chose the fried chicken set meal and the salt-grilled mackerel set meal. The waiting time of about 10 minutes from ordering to the time the food was delivered was just the right amount of time to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere around us. The five pieces of fried chicken that were delivered to me were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and the salty seasoning along with the accompanying cabbage was exquisite. On the other hand, the salted mackerel half was served with grated daikon radish, and the way the fat was spread on it made it a perfect companion to the rice, and the rice was delicious with every bite. The pickled takuan served as a chopstick rest and reset my palate. Additionally, miso soup, which contained fried tofu, cabbage, and carrots, served to warm the body and complement the meal. There is an option to choose between white rice and brown rice, and I chose brown rice. Its slight sweetness and good texture made it even more enjoyable to pair with other dishes. At the end of the meal, I paid with PayPay and was once again grateful that this restaurant was cashless. This visit provided a peaceful and relaxing meal time that made us forget the hustle and bustle of the city. A smooth touch-panel ordering system, carefully prepared food, and the convenience of cashless payment are evidence of a firm understanding of customer needs in modern restaurants. This kind of attention to detail is one of the reasons I want to come back again.
