【2020年12月26日初訪問】
ＪＲ神田駅「北口」を出たら、同名交差点より「神田警察通り」を渡ってから向かって右側の歩道を神保町方面へ。２つ目の角を右へと曲がって進んで行くと右手に現れるお店。移転後の「カレーノトリコ」さんの少し手前になります。
コンプリートが見えて来た「神田カレーグランプリ」。こんなに廻れるとは思っていなかったのですが、この日のランチで２軒済ませておけば、ゴールが一気に見えて来る…という事で、最初に向かったのがこちらのお店。そう、この日予定していたその２軒はランチタイムの営業に限られているも、土曜日も営業してくれているんです！到着したのは正午を10分程回った頃。年内最後の営業日という事で、常連さんと盛り上がっていました。春の自粛が凄かった期間でも、こちらのお店は頑張って営業していた様で、感謝されていました。
メニューで気になった「中華ポークカレー」をお願いしようとするも、そんなに遅い時間帯での訪問でもなかったにも拘らず、既に品切れとの事。要はポークが無いとの事らしいので、この後の事も考えて、シンプルに「チキンカレー」を注文する事にしました。先客への提供もまだであった様で、旨味到着する迄に10分程要しました。サラッとはしていないそのカレーは口に含めばスパイシー。とはいえ辛過ぎる事も全く無く、比較的幅広く美味しく食べられそうな感じです。すぐ近くにある前述のお店同様、カスリメティの働きが特に印象的。チキンに掛かっているソースが今回は食べられなかった「中華ポークカレー」に使われているモノなのかな…？あと何だろう？カレーの中のプチプチ食感もかなり心地良い。添えられたポテトとの組み合わせも大変良いし、このカレーを出していれば、付近では一番の人気カレー店になっていたかも…そういう意味では、前述の「カレーノトリコ」さんの移転はしんどかったのでは？カスメリティとスパイスカレーという時点で被ってしまう点も多いし…こちらの場合、本業は違うのかもしれませんが…平均以上に美味しいお店です。
