Big Chicken Cutlet Curry with Cheese Topping (800 yen) I usually go to this Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) at night, but I heard that they serve curry and hayashi at lunchtime, so I went there for lunch. The menu has two options, curry and hayashi, with various toppings. First, you need to order and pay at the register, and after looking at the menu at the entrance, I ordered the big chicken cutlet curry with cheese topping, which I had decided on beforehand. I asked for a regular portion of rice (300g), but the large and extra large portions were all the same price. What's more, I was surprised at the incredibly low prices: 500 yen for the base curry, 200 yen for the big chicken cutlet, and 100 yen for cheese. I received my meal ticket and went to the counter, where they served me the curry. The seats are the same as in Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) at night, so it's open and airy during lunchtime. I didn't realize that this restaurant was so well-lit. The curry has a simple taste that brings out the sweetness and umami of the vegetables. It's not spicy, but it has an orthodox texture and is delicious. The cutlet is crispy and has a good texture, and goes perfectly with the curry. It could have been done without the cheese, but still delicious.
