I have arbitrarily decided that sea bream is the king of fish. Kue is larger and has more dignity, but there are definitely fewer opportunities to eat it than sea bream, and considering its general popularity and penetration, it is probably sea bream. I love it, and of course it's filleted, but I always look for natural ones, grill them with salt, and eat them with a little bit of yuzu and pepper. When eating out, I often eat sashimi. There seem to be two types of taimeshi, one is the one in which the sea bream is boiled with rice and then broken down and mixed with the rice, and the other is in which the sashimi is dipped in sauce and eaten like zuke, but the one at this restaurant is would be classified as the latter. I guess that's the Ehime way of eating. I've been to Ehime about ten times for work, but never on a trip. I'd like to leisurely visit Dogo Onsen, Matsuyama Castle, and other places... The main store is in Uwajima, but there are other stores in Kyoto and other places. This seems to be their first foray into Tokyo, and when I visited, they had only been open for about a month. We sat at a table in the back and had dinner with three people, including our business partners. There didn't seem to be any courses, so we ordered various items individually. I can't say that the number of items listed is small, but I felt that something was missing. The restaurant sells sea bream rice, so when it comes to meat, there are only a few dishes that use chicken, which is not enough, but the young owner told me as I was leaving the restaurant that I was going to serve beef dishes. Although the restaurant has only been open for a short time, the food they offer is decent. The store is, of course, brand new. As for the food, it depends on the item, but many are too expensive compared to the quality. In the photo, the taro and lotus root are representative items, and if I knew the price and contents from the beginning, I would never order them again. The salt-grilled sweet sea bream was also too small and felt a bit lonely. Basically, the cuisine focuses on Ehime's Local Cuisine and specialty products, and the taste is good, but overall it feels expensive. I don't think there's a misunderstanding in my senses because I rarely get that kind of feeling at any store. It would be better to increase the amount one by one. Of course it wasn't my first time having sea bream rice, but it was delicious. On this occasion, I treated my business partners to a feast. Thank you!
