著名店です。北千住・水道橋・恵比寿に展開されています。今年は百名店の栄誉は逃したようですが、品質の高い松坂牛・近江牛を専門に取り扱っていらっしゃる老舗。肉が肉だけに、品質は確か。老舗ならではの信用もあります。
どちらかというと、注目したいのは味よりも世界観。昭和の高級レストランのような一軒ビルは、年代物のエレベーターを使って移動します。チープなシャンデリアや絵画でデコレートされた店内で、高級肉を食べるというこの行為。女性の店員さんは皆チマチョゴリを模した制服を来ておられ、言い表しにくいノスタルジーを感じます。
1970年代頃のソウルで、出張に行った日本のサラリーマンがこういう「高級」焼肉店でソジュを飲みながら宴会をしていそうな退廃感？ はたまたバブル期末期の日本の歓楽街で何に金を使っていいか分からずとりあえず焼肉屋で松坂牛を食らう田舎紳士のような哀愁か？
ある種のエンターテインメント空間でした。
もう一度言いますが、肉の質は確かです。
