I wondered if it had something to do with Meitoku Gijuku, but it was Meikei (lol). I'm almost 60 years old and I often judge places by the font and first impressions, so I feel like it's a bit of a piece of crap. The basement space is larger than the first floor, and it's clearly designed to cater to groups near the student area. The university's regular exams are over and they're in winter break mode. Plus, there aren't many customers because of COVID. I visited with some long-time regulars and left the snacks to them. The food was just as tasty as usual, but the wide selection of sake was also appealing. It's just a shame that smoking is allowed.
