Hongo 5th day. After coming to Hongo, I realized that Hongo is a surprisingly competitive area for Chinese cuisine. Speaking of Hongo, I had a strong image of it being a battleground for Ramen, but when I actually came, I found that there were Chinese restaurants everywhere. On this day, I decided to go to our restaurant, which is located near Hongo-sanchome Station and right next to the Hongo-sanchome intersection. On the first floor, there is another Chinese restaurant called [a:13049088, Keien]. It's on the second floor of the building you're in. When I entered the store before 2pm, there were two female customers ahead of me. The lunchtime peak had passed and the atmosphere was quiet, so I sat down at an empty table. Our lunch menu is ============================= ・Shanghai Yakisoba (stir-fried noodles) + wonton soup ・Taiwanese rouleau rice + wonton soup ・Beef belly Meat noodles + small rice ============================= Only 3 types. Each one costs 880 yen. Tea was served, so at that moment I ordered beef belly noodles + small rice. First, three appetizers appeared. Three appetizers with a good balance of meat, vegetables, and tofu. After a while, beef belly noodles and rice were served. I was surprised to see the name of the restaurant on the 1st floor when I saw the lotus flower served with a bowl of beef belly noodles. Maybe this is a fashionable version of Katsuragi on the first floor? Beef belly noodles are topped with plenty of beef belly. The noodles are normal Chinese noodles. When I tried it, I found that the soup was rich and delicious, but it didn't have any Chinese characteristics. The beef belly is chewy and tender, and is full of collagen. The crunchiness of the green leaves here and there was good. After I finished eating the noodles, I was thinking of dipping the rice into the soup, but the flavor was too strong, so I decided not to do the soup and topped the rice with a small amount of beef belly and greens. I made meat porridge style rice. This was delicious! Rice was very satisfied because it was a hit for me. The almond tofu was rich, but a little watery and had a light texture. Overall a stylish Chinese lunch. With this, 880 yen was a decent CP. At the time of my visit, there were only two reviews for our store, so I thought it had just opened, but it turns out it will open in October 2022. I'm a little concerned about the lack of reviews even though it's been over half a year. Payment cannot be made via PayPay. I paid in cash. Good luck in the future. Thank you for the meal.
