It's been over 10 years since I last visited Menya Musashi. This was my first time at the Okachimachi branch. I was starving, so I ordered 3.5 times the amount of rich Tsukemen (Dipping Nudle). The boiled noodles weigh 1 kilogram. At other restaurants, the amount would definitely leave you short on dipping sauce, but here they offer free refills of dipping sauce up to one bowl. When the impressive noodles arrived, I dipped them in the broth and slurped them down. The wheat flavor was light and fragrant, and the noodles were just the right thickness and firm. The dipping sauce was light, but rich enough. Very tasty. The char siu (braised pork) was very tender. The sweetness and umami of the sticky fat spread throughout my mouth. It was my favorite char siu. Next time, I'd like to pay for the char siu as well to consume even more fat.
