上野にある天麩羅のお店です。
かなりの老舗店。初老の大将が黙々と揚げていました。創業は1928年。先代あるいは先々代から営業しているみたいだね。
老舗店と言っても店内はキレイですよ。高級感のあるカウンターメインでテーブル席もあり。
自分は平日の夜にフラリと入店しました。座席が空いてたので入店できましたが、タイミングが悪いと満席だったかも。予約が確実かと思われます。
メニューは天丼→天麩羅定食→天麩羅一人前→おまかせの順にお値段がアップします。品数やネタの質の違いがあるみたい。また、おまかせは前菜やお刺身がついてきます。
自分はちょっと贅沢におまかせを注文しました。お値段は9000円くらいだったかな。

魚介天麩羅は車海老×2、穴子、鱚の他に、牡蠣、イカ、帆立、白子などから2種類を選べます。
また、最後のかき揚げは他のコースだと小海老なんですが、おまかせだけ青柳の小柱になります。
おまかせだと、他のメニューよりも＋3000円以上になりますが、前菜、刺身、かき揚げのクオリティーや野菜天麩羅のグレードがアップしているのを考えると、おまかせを注文するのが良いかと思います。一方、ライトに江戸前天麩羅を楽しみたい人には安価な天麩羅定食もありかと思います。
今回食べた天麩羅では鱚、牡蠣、白子、車海老が美味しかったなぁ。
特に鱚のフワフワ食感と香りがいいね。
鱚は「あれっ？」と思う天麩羅屋さんがちょくちょくあるのですが、ここのはグー。
その一方で、野菜天麩羅は思ったほどじゃなかったかも。
全般的にタネの素材にこだわっているのが感じられました。
気軽に上野で江戸前天麩羅を食べるのには悪くない選択肢だと思います。
