A 70-year-old detached house with a typical Asakusa feel. Oedo Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) an earthen floor, a water wheel, and seasonal cuisine. A banquet too.
Popular dishes include Edomae "conger eel", "kohada", seasonal "Edo vegetables", rare and valuable "Hayama beef iron pot grill", Hayama beef "beef sinew stew", "atsuyaki tamago", and "Edo negima nabe"
.... Nabe was invented by the common people of Edo in the hope of eating the fatty part of tuna, which in the past was discarded as unsuitable for preservation. In this hot pot, the fat from the tuna drains easily and melts into the soup stock, making the onions and vegetables simmered in the soup even more delicious. Course meals too!
