Kanmi-Dokoro (cafe featuring Japanese-style sweets) on the right side of Asakusa Kaminarimon. It's been a while since I've been to Asakusa, and there are so many new stores opening up. This shop doesn't have the atmosphere of a long-established Kanmi-Dokoro (cafe featuring Japanese-style sweets) either, but has a modern, stylish and relaxing feel. There is bamboo on the left side of the store, giving it a Japanese-style feel. Only table seats, no counter seats. Payment will be made at the table. Well, I ordered a simple anmitsu. 900 yen including tax. For anmitsu, the balance of agar, brown sugar syrup, and red bean paste is important. Fruits play a supporting role. You can choose between crushed or strained red bean paste. I like koshian for anmitsu, so I made it with koshian. The rest is canned mandarin oranges, pineapple, peas, cherries, and gyuhi. The agar is solid and has a nice texture. The koshian also has just the right amount of sweetness and is smooth. Black sugar syrup also has a good flavor. Also, the gyuhi was delicious. Due to the location, groups of older women, married couples, and students on school trips were conspicuous. There were no foreigners. I wonder if azuki beans are not popular with foreigners. The tea at this shop was delicious and the staff was attentive.
