群馬在住の方との打ち合わせで、浅草にやって来ました。
待ち合わせに指定されたのは「パンダ」さん。場所は、東京メトロ田原町駅北側、国際通り沿いにある「ホテルサンルート浅草」の２階です。よくこのお店を知っていたなと思って聞いてみると、彼がこの上のホテルに宿泊しているからとのこと。それなら納得です。
２階に上がって行くと、店内はかなり広く、ファミリーレストラン風な席の配置。内装は中華風なのですが、驚いたことに、パンダのぬいぐるみが数匹座る、大きなテーブルがありました。多分、キャパシティが大き過ぎるのだとは思いますが、単純な空席よりは面白いですね。
夕方の中途半端な時間だったので、少し飲んで食べていくことになりました。注文したのは、以下の通りです。

♦︎漢方薬膳火鍋
軽く生ビールで乾杯し、前菜２品の後は「漢方薬膳火鍋」をいただきました。これがなかなか充実しています。
「漢方薬膳火鍋」のスープ自体は無料で、追加の「つけだれ」や具材メニュー毎に料金がかかるシステム。肉類はラム・牛・豚・ホルモン・つみれ、海鮮は海老・イカ・アワビ・ホタテ貝柱・フカヒレ・白身魚・ズワイガニ爪、野菜が32種類、豆腐やきのこ、麺やご飯等、かなりのバリエーションがあります。
スープには、ナツメ・良姜・党参・竜眼・蓮子・枸杞子の６種類の生薬が入っているのだとか。確かに白湯スープには薬膳らしい香りがありますし、麻辣スープも辛くてキレがあります。
海鮮系と野菜を中心に、〆は雑炊セットをいただきました。巷の火鍋専門店に遜色ないレベルで、なかなか美味しかったですね。ドリンクは、ビールの後は紹興酒にしましたが、３年物から15年物まで揃っており、下手な街中華よりは楽しめます。今夜はあまりアラカルトを食べていませんが、少なくとも火鍋に関しては、使えそうなお店だと思います。
そして特筆すべきは、浅草にしては珍しく空いていること。もしかしたら偶然だったのかも知れませんが、ホテルの２階であまり目立ちませんし、中華料理店としては大箱なので、それ程満席にはならないのではないでしょうか。まあ、パンダが席を占拠しているぐらいですから、多分間違いないとは思いますが…。
お勘定は２人で11,000円程度です。
