2019年7月某日の18時過ぎに訪ねた。
日暮里駅を出て徒歩1,2分ほど。2階建てのキャパ的には大きめの居酒屋「くいしん坊 大将」。
カウンター席もあるので1人で訪ねても大丈夫。
1階フロアは6割程度客で埋まっていた。
1人でカウンター席に座り「ホッピーセット（黒）」¥450を注文。
お通しは胡麻の効いた筍と糸こんにゃくの煮物。濃いめの味付けだが、中々良い味。
お通し黒ホッピーと共に食事を楽しむ。
尾長鯛 ¥390：390円の刺身がこの店のウリでもあるらしい。つぶ貝を注文したが品切れであったので、尾長鯛をリクエスト。角が立った食べやすい刺身ではあるが、風味はイマイチ。それでも390円ならば安いとはお思う。
大山鶏ももネギ塩焼き ¥250：大山鶏の串焼きにネギが大量にかかっている。アッサリしながらも大山鶏のジューシーさが味わえて中々美味な一品。ネギが好きな人間には堪らない串メニューでもある。
ねぎとろユッケ ¥620：たっぷりのねぎとろを使ってユッケ風に仕上げている一品。個人的には普通のねぎとろで十分に満足できると思うが、ユッケ仕立てでおかずっぽくなっている。酒のつまみにも勿論良い。
使い勝手が非常に良く、値段もそれなり。ホールの接客もちゃんとしていて、ストレス無く飲み食い出来る。日本酒の品揃えもなかなか豊富で楽しみ甲斐のある良い居酒屋であった。
日暮里エリアで居酒屋選択に迷った際にはこの店をおススメ。
