Miyako is a long-established Fukagawa food restaurant founded in the Taisho era. I've been going to the cat medical center near here a lot lately, and I thought it would be a good idea to visit Miyako-san for the first time in a while, so I visited on Saturday. Whether it's luck or bad luck, it's a frigid day with snow falling all over the city. When I arrived at the store, holding an umbrella and shivering, I found that we were the only customers... Fortunately, there was some heating inside the store, and it was much warmer than outside. However, this restaurant is large and there is no barrier between the frontage and the dining area, so the heat quickly escapes. So, my first order was 1 cup of hot sake. The reason is that it's quite cold, so even if you order 2 cups, it gets cold quickly. To order your meal: Fukagawa Meshi Set: 1,980 yen Fukagawa Meshi + Sashimi Set: 2,970 yen Fried Clams: 1,980 yen Kanto Style Atsuyaki Tamago: 770 yen Above 4 items. It was much more expensive than before. While I was having a sip of sake, a customer came to the store. However, on this day there were probably only these two groups, including us. No one will bother going out in this cold. Fukagawa Meshi comes in two types: Seiro type and Ojiya type, and this restaurant uses Seiro type. I like this one better. The amount of rice in the wappa is about 1 and a half rice bowls, and about 2 Small dish. The clam kakiage that I ordered individually was quite large and was perfect for two people. When I asked for an additional drink, ``Furedaiko'' came by chance. This is a traditional event held before the January tournament where the initiatives of Makuuchi are read out in front of the store, and it was a very rare and valuable experience. As expected, it has been in business for about 100 years. I hope it continues for the next 100 years.
