自称カレー王です。
カレーを求めて都営新宿線の住吉駅に漂着したカレー王。
錦糸町まで徒歩圏内の穴場。
明日は休みだし一杯ひっかけてから行くかーと思い、とりあえず店構えがいい感じの住吉駅からすぐの居酒屋に侵入。
とりあえずの生ビールを呑みながらメニューをじろじろと視姦。
そこには衝撃の文字が。
「手作りカレーコロッケ 580円」
…オレを待っていたのかもしれない。
この店は待っていたのかもしれない。
この店はカレーコロッケを毎日毎日作りながらオレが来るのを待っていたのかもしれないぞ━━━━っ！！
今まで気付かなくてスマナイ。でももう大丈夫。オレはそばにいる。
そんな心持ちで手作りカレーコロッケをオーダー。
待っている間にお店のHPを閲覧すると「コロッケはじゃがいもを茹でてつぶして1ヶ1ヶ調理の者が揚げています」とある。
本日の目玉がカニクリームコロッケ299円のところを見ても、コロッケはこのお店の名物のひとつ。
期待にドキがむねむね。
程なくして手作りカレーコロッケが入場。
付け合わせも何もないシンプルさ。
自信の表れだろう。
真っ直ぐな瞳でオレを見つめるカレーコロッケ。
オレは目をそらすことなく彼女を割り箸で優しくつまみ目の前まで運ぶ。そして見つめる。
見つめ合ったまま、どちらからともなく徐々に二人の距離は縮まり、やがてその時は訪れた。

ぬーん。デリシャス。
うっすらと白い衣はこの上なくサックサク。
中はホクホク。
ひと口食べればカレーのカホリがホワーン。
熱々だからハフハフ。
そのうちにじゃがいもの甘いカホリがホワワーン。
ふた口目は学習して口に運ぶ前にフーフー。
想像以上の美味さにヤンヤヤンヤ。
フーフーしながらヨダレがタラタラー笑（マジで）
ひとり呑みだったので爆笑する訳にもいかず、垂れたヨダレを物静かにおしぼりで拭くイジらしいカレー王。
折角だからと思い本日のおすすめのカツオのお造りも食べましたが、弾力と脂の乗りが抜群。
いやー。
このカレーコロッケ。
コレしばらくしたら思い出してまた食べたくなっちゃうだろーな。
正直カレーを食べる前の準備運動のつもりでしたが、本命レヴェルの思わぬ出逢いでした。
待たせてスマナイ。でももう大丈夫。
