オフィス街と観光スポットが共存する錦糸町で、新しくオープンしたこちらのお店。街を２分するJR総武線の南側、複合型デパート丸井錦糸町店や競馬の券売場ウインズ錦糸町店の真裏にお店があります。
お店の周辺は、ちょっと夜のお店が多い場所で、ともなって昼には営業していないお店も多く、シャッターが下りているのが印象的でした。
そんな中、ランチも営業しているのがこちらの〝やきとり処 とりちょう〟さん。
鶏料理に特化しており、総州古白鶏(そうしゅうこはくどり)という、千葉県が誇るブランド鶏を使用。地鶏のため余分な脂身が少なく、抜群の歯ごたえの中に鶏本来の味わいを楽しむことができます。
夜にお店に行き、注文したのは計4品。お会計2,520円(外税201円)
■白レバー叩き刺し ／ 580円
→「売切れ御免！数量限定！」の売り文句で、メニュー表の中央に掲載していました。店主にオススメください、と言って出てきたものです。レバー特有のねっとりした味わいが苦手なのですが、これは臭みがなく、すごく食べやすかったです。もちろん、鶏レバー特有の香りはあるのですが、肉質と丁寧な下処理によってパクパク食べれます。焼酎が合う、味ですね。
■もも肉炭火叩き ／ 680円
→地鶏と言えば、やはりこれですね。ぷりっぷりの身に程よく焼き色を入れられていて色合いだけでなく、味わいも深いですね。油には嫌な香りがなく、お酒にもご飯にも合う食べごたえでした。ただ、ワサビ以外にも薬味が何かあると、ちょっと嬉しかったりしました。
■地鶏もつ煮込み ／ 580円
→こちらもお勧めしてもらった品です。鶏のあらゆる部位を一緒に煮込んでおり、濃厚な鶏出汁が溶け出て、こちらもお酒に合います。そして、珍しいのですが銀杏が一緒に入ってます。煮込み系にはよく見られますが、もつ煮込みには珍しいかもしれないですね。色合いがきれいでした。
■古白鶏と奥久慈玉子の親子丼 ／ 680円
→締めの一品として、チョイスしました。麺物で〆たかったのですが、メニュー表の写真が美味しそうで、止められませんでした。とろっとろの玉子に、歯ごたえのある地鶏、そしてボリュームのあるご飯の量。親子丼、って定期的に食べたくなりますよね。おいしいです。
全体的に、出汁に特徴があるように感じました。
ほんのりと鼻に抜ける鶏とスパイシーな香りが時折感じられ、店主が丁寧に仕込みをしていることが見て取れます。あと、気になったのはもつ煮込みですね。博多風の味付け、っぽさがあったように感じます。
今回は、串ものをあえていかなかったので、次回は串もの攻めですね。つくねがごつくて、食べたくなっちゃいました。串ものコースもあるので、これも楽しみです。
