I went to Shinkoiwa for drinks with the owner of Daikanyama Issai Cheers. I heard that the Bib Gourmand restaurant All Cheers is closed twice a month for the sake of their families and employees, so I decided to come here to have a drink early in the day. For our generation, Hachijojima is famous for its large muntjac (a small deer native to Taiwan and China), but in reality, there are no wild muntjacs on Hachijojima. Instead, in Chiba Prefecture, the muntjac that was bred at Yukigawa Island (now out of business) escaped and became feral, breeding muntjac and causing a social problem. The story had nothing to do with the store. I have never been to Hachijojima, but the Sushi is made with flying fish, Japanese medlar, etc. caught in the waters around Hachijojima. I used sweet and sour shari and mustard instead of wasabi. It's not the menu that you can find everywhere, but the dishes that are unique to this place are good. Asuha is also a specialty, so I had sesame sauce and Tempura. Although Asuha is bitter, it is not as bitter as Shungiku, but it is suitable for adults. Despite the rain from early in the evening, the store was packed. The 900ml bottle of shochu ran out in no time, so I went looking for a second one, but there are many shops around Shin-Koiwa Station that I would like to explore, so be sure to check them out.
