Visited the store after 5pm on Sunday, January 17, 2021. Genpachi Boatman is Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) that serves Hachijojima cuisine. I used to go to Shin-Koiwa often, but this was my first time at Koiwa. It is under the guard of the Sobu Line. First of all, start with Namachu (¥638). The appetizer (¥275) is edamame. The sashimi platter for two (¥1870) consists of 5 pieces each of tuna, albacore, amberjack, and sea bream, and the pieces are fresh and large. Even though I say it serves two people, it might be good for four people. Hachijo specialty ① Ashitaba Tempura (¥770) is heaped. Hachijo's specialty ② Kusaya (¥990) is definitely a hit. But it's delicious. But it still stinks. Yam Stamina Maki (¥935) is a roll of tuna, yam, lettuce, and seaweed. This is also big. Other, Mio chicken bun bunji salad (¥825) and Mio chicken fried chicken (¥770) are Miou chicken from Mt. Fuji. Oyster cheese (¥770) is Fried food of oysters and cheese. To finish off the meal, the Hachijo specialty ③ Island sushi for two (¥1870) has 14 pieces of pickled Sushi, which is the same item as the sashimi. Each piece is large and you'll be completely satisfied. By the way, as for alcohol, I had Hachijo specialty ④ Yaetsubaki (¥605), a shochu made by Hachijojima Sake Brewery, on the rocks. After all, I realize once again that Genpachi is the strongest.
