核家族化が進み、親父の権威も地に落ち家庭崩壊が叫ばれる昨今、家族のきずなを取り戻すべく古きよき大阪の伝統の味を継承し、提供し続ける。秋の夕暮れ。些細ないたずらをして叱られた幼い僕はひとりべそをかいていた。頃合いを見計らったかのように、父がやってきて「たこ焼きでも食うか？」と。僕はだまってうなずく。父はひょいと肩車して、そのまま商店街へと歩く。途中、近所のおばんに「ええなぁ、おとうちゃんに肩車か」と
...ひやかされ、恥ずかしいやらうれしいやら。やがて着いたたこ焼き屋の屋台でとうちゃんとひとつの舟にのっかったたこ焼きをつつきあう。心も体もぽかぽかとあったまる。「おかあちゃんにも買おていったろうなぁ」
