Since we weren't satisfied with the fried chicken at the first restaurant and it was too early, we had a second party at Isomaru Suisan Monzen-Nakamachi branch. This place is open until 5 a.m., and it seems to get crowded around midnight, but by 7 p.m., it was pretty empty. The accompanying ice fish, chikama, and black hampen are grilled on a tabletop stove, which is a pretty good way to eat them. I ordered scallops, surf clams, and crab miso as Hamayaki, but the smell of grilling was unbearable. The soy sauce with green seaweed feels like the seaweed is a bit too strong and you can't really taste the shellfish, but it's really delicious. I saw the Saki Squid Tempura on TV the other day, so I ordered it as a side dish, and it was definitely a must-order dish. The lemon sour wasn't too sweet, and I was completely satisfied with the Isomaru Suisan that I came to for the first time in a while.
