The homemade "Nihonbashi Mentaiko" (from 1,158 yen) is an original masterpiece that goes well with rice and sake, as well as wine such as champagne. There are 5 flavors, the standard one (hajime), sansho (using grape sansho from Wakayama Prefecture), yuzu pepper, anchovy, and light salt. Without relying on preservatives or chemical seasonings, the dashi stock made from Japanese sake and Rausu kelp brings out the charm of the ingredients. Please use it as a side dish at home or as a souvenir.
