世間はお盆休みに突入する直前。私は午後に客先へ伺うべく三田へ向かった。
バスが遅れ、昼食もギリギリかなと思ったが、根性？でこのお店へ。
龍祥軒は前から気になっていたお店で、本格中華って感じがするお店に見えた。
芝に本店があり、この周辺では歴史のあるお店のようだ。
入店するとほぼ満席。1人だが4人掛けのテーブル席に座らせてもらった。
店員さんは中国人の女性。厨房も中国人の料理人だった。
そう考えると大陸系なお店と思ってしまうが、
私の持論で「厨房から大きな声で中国語が聞こえるお店はきちんとした料理人が作ってる」
それがこのお店でも立証された。
私が注文したのは餃子定食 900円。
焼餃子6個にミニ麻婆豆腐、サラダ、ご飯、お味噌汁、杏仁豆腐が付いている。
この味噌汁というのがまた不思議だ。歴史の街中華、それでいて中国人の人がきちんと作っているんだな。
急いでいるのに何で餃子なんて頼んだだろうと後悔したが、10分くらいで料理が提供され安心した。
さて、お味だが、餃子は厚めの皮。そしてスープがあふれ出すかなり旨い餃子だった。
このスープがあふれる焼餃子は羽が付いてない歓迎の餃子という感じ。
この餃子だけでも当たりだと思った。
麻婆豆腐もきちんと美味しかった。
四川風ではないが、豆板醬と豆鼓醬、少量の八角と山椒が使われているだろう。
日式のようで本格的にも感じる味だった。
お味噌汁は出汁が効いている。鶏の味か？ちょっと鰹出汁と違う旨さだ。
最後に杏仁豆腐もきちんと杏の味がする。
総じて、中国人の人が作っているが、大陸系なお店とは格が違って、
かなり満足感の高いお店だったと思う。
最後に会計だが、PayPayが使えない。
カードは使えそうだが、さすがに1000円以下なので現金払いした。
大陸系の店はPayPay加入率が高い。
本場中国はQRコード決済が盛んだからなのかもしれない。
PayPayが使えないと不便だが、何となく会計の仕方も頑固さを感じてしまった。
大陸系のお店はそれなりに大好きで、よく利用しているが、
オリジナリティはさほどない。それは料理から値段、店舗までコスパを追求したモデルがあるからだ。
でも三田や大森などには華僑が中華街に負けないリーズナブルで美味しいお店を出してきた歴史があるんだろうなと思う。
このお店もきっとそんなお店の一つなんだろうな。
三田には仕事で訪問が多いので、是非また再訪したい。
