Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) chain lunches are delicious, filling, reasonably priced, and quick to serve, making them ideal for office workers. It was quite useful during my active days, but I haven't had the opportunity to use it since I retired. It's been a while since I've been there. But on this weekday, I was rejected by the restaurant I was counting on, so I visited for the first time in a while. I visited this Seafood Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) on the 3rd floor of Asuto With, a commercial facility in front of Keikyu Kamata Station. I chose this because I was in the mood for fish and Sushi from Sushi Iwa, which is also from Osho, and which I recently bought at Yokohama Takashimaya, was quite delicious. I visited around 12:15, and there were 7 to 8 customers in the large box with over 100 seats. I took a seat at a table in the back recommended by the staff. Each table is equipped with a gas stove. The lunch menu includes standard sashimi set meals, rice bowls, Sushi, etc., but since I had the opportunity to choose one of the three daily specials, I chose the Negi Toro and Fried Oyster (950 yen). The set arrived in less than 10 minutes of waiting. I didn't know that until then, but Negitoro is a rice bowl made with Sushi rice. I'm thankful for the Negitoro and Sushi rice, but the combination of Sushi rice and fried oysters may be a bit unusual. The Negitoro in the Negitoro bowl is probably a bigeye and is delicious. The sushi rice seems a little cheap, but it's pretty standard for Izakaya (Japanese-style bar). In the end, the three fried oysters I ended up eating may have been made with thawed oysters, but I was thankful that they were freshly fried. It was my first fried oyster of the season, and it was quite delicious. The overall impression is that it is worth the price. I think lunch at Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) chain is also an option once in a while.
