目黒駅西口2〜3分、多くの飲食店が集まる雑居ビル、サンフェリスタ目黒の地下1階にある人気居酒屋『酒場シナトラ 目黒店』。ここ目黒店を皮切りに、現在は恵比寿、自由が丘、東京駅、豊洲に展開。目黒の人気バル『大衆ビストロ ジル』などを運営する、株式会社ジリオンが母体。
恵比寿店は訪れたことがあり、ここ目黒店へ初訪問。週末の来店だったが、直前の予約で席をゲット。18:00ですでにほぼ満席。
生ビールがちゃんと美味しい。クリーミーな泡に芳醇なビールの味わい。それに合う一品目は、当店の人気商品「クレソン本山葵和え」。クレソンの苦みに山葵のピリっとした辛さがヤミツキ。
お魚も美味しい。この日は鰹のたたきを薬味たっぷりで。「せせりと東京うどのきんぴら」は、せせりとうどをシンプルに甘辛くきんぴらで味付け。せせりとうどの食感のコントラスト、出来立ての炒め具合が◎。揚げ物は、本日のおすすめから「じゃこえびと葉玉ねぎのかき揚げ」を。衣に逃げず、具材をケチらずたっぷり使用しているのが嬉しい。
メインは、30分ほど時間を要する肉料理「牛タンのロースト」。牛タンのコリコリとした食感に、じっくり寝かせ牛タンの旨みを凝縮。メインにふさわしい美味しい肉料理。
2人で3杯呑んでお会計は¥7,000ちょっと。接客やサービスもフランクな空気感だが、変に距離感も近すぎず丁寧でいい。詰まるところ、高級日本料理店じゃなくても、こういう酒場で十分なのだ。
