前日にJACKMACKEREL SANDWICHに訪れる途中で見かけたフレンチレストランが気になり、翌日の夜の会議が運良く早く終わったので急いで駆けつけてみました。
お店は五反田と高輪台の中間ぐらいの桜田通りの坂の途中にあります。
19:30頃にお店の前に到着して地下の奥に扉が見えるお店に入ると、お目当てのお店はこちらではなく、地下の手前にある赤い扉の小さなコーナーとのこと。しかし、そこの扉の奥は照明も点いてなくて薄暗く、途中通った時に、ここナンだろと思った場所。少々不安が過ぎりましたが、奥のお店はキチンとしたフレンチのお店のように見えたので、その姉妹店なら大丈夫だろうと、入ることにしました。
お店の方が照明を点けて中に入ると、先程の奥のお店とは打って変わってチープな雰囲気。エアコンも今しがた点けたのか、12月の底冷えする外気同様、冷えきった店内が一層チープ感を増します。予めお客さんを迎える準備ぐらいしておかないのかな？と、不安が増すお店の様子です。
それでも気を取り直してメニューを拝見。メインだけでなく前菜も選べる1500円のカジュアルディナーもありましたが、サスガにチョッと用心して1200円のワンプレートディナーにして、メインもハズレが少なそうな豚ロース肉の低温ローストのオニオンフォンドヴォーソースにしました。
オーダーを取ったお店の方が、奥のお店の方に戻ったので、どうやら料理は先程のお店の厨房で作るようなので、コレはひと安心かなと、うすら寒いお店に一人ポツンと残りました。
暫くして先程のお店の方がサラダ、スープ、パンを持って店内へ。
お店が寒かったので、スープから頂きます。
カップに入ったミネストローネスープは具だくさんで美味しいです。その暖かさがナンだかホッとさせてくれました。
サラダはごく普通のグリーンサラダ。
パンはバターが添えられていないようなので、メインのソースで頂こうと手をつけずに。
そして注文して10分かからずにメインが到着です。
随分早いなぁと、テーブルに置かれた皿を見ると、想像していた厚みのある豚ロースではなく薄切りされた豚ロースでした。まあ、それでもまずまずの大きさで５枚はあるようなので納得して頂くと、オニオンフォンドヴォーソースというより、生姜焼きという味わい。豚ロースが薄切り肉なので、余計に豚の生姜焼きを頂いているような感覚です。それでも、低温ローストだけあって、お肉は柔らかく瑞々しさが感じられて美味しいのですが、この冷えきった店内の温度がどんどんと料理の熱を奪っていくので、食べている先からお肉が冷えていくのがナンとも勿体無い感じです。なので、冷めないうちにと、セッセと頂いたのであっという間に食べ終えてしまいました。
最後にソースをすくって食べたパンも思いの外柔らかく美味しかったので、つくづく勿体無い感じです。
最後にお店の方にランチメニューについて伺うと、ディナーとほぼ同じ内容でコーヒーとプチデザートまで付いて1000円とのこと。それならナカナカの高CPで、ランチならきっとお店も賑わっていただろうし、十分満足できたのではないかと思いました。
この方面にランチの時間帯に訪れることはあまりないのですが、次は絶対ランチに伺うべきだと、チョッと残念感が残る晩ご飯でした。
