店長とはすでに１０年以上のお付き合いです。独立されてここをオープンされてからちょくちょくお邪魔しております。ここはとにかくなんでもがおいしいです。アヒージョもイワシの酢づけもイベリコ生ハムも！店長は毎年スペインに行って現地の最新情報を仕入れてきているので、最新のスペインが食べられます。中目黒駅からちょっと離れているのがたまにキズ。会社の同僚を連れていったとき、駅から歩いていくとどんどんお店が少なくなっていって、彼からは「こんなところにお店があるのかよ？」との質問。歩くこと１０分弱。エグザイルスに到着。まずお店の雰囲気のよさに彼は満足。そしてサーブされる食事に更に満足。極めつけはやはりパエージャでしょう。パエージャを一口食べた彼はひっくり返りました。「うまい！」の一言。その後彼は銀座などのスペイン料理やでパエージャを食べたそうですが、エグザイルスを超えるパエージャはまだ食べたことがないとのこと。彼はエグザイルスの常連となって私よりも来ているようです。隠れ家的なお店で席数も少ないのであまり知られてしまうとすぐ満席になって入れなくなっちゃうので、有名になるのは困るのですが・・・。
