[Nakameguro] “Nakameguro Naito” Japanese Cuisine located along the street under the Nakameguro elevated train. Amidst the rows of Izakaya (Japanese-style bar), you will find a private room at an L-shaped counter (about 7 seats) when you pass through the noren curtains of the stately storefront. There is no a la carte menu, only seasonal selection. In addition to sake, we also have champagne and wines such as Kenzo Estate. For the first drink, we toasted with ``ROCOCO Tokyo WHITE,'' a beer with a fruity and gorgeous wine-like aroma. The ``homemade sesame tofu'' has a strong soybean flavor and is simple but extremely delicious. It seems that it has become a standard menu (?) here. It was definitely the best ever! Even though the bowl of conger conger (Amakusa) and junsai from Kumamoto Prefecture, where the owner is from, didn't use salt, I didn't feel it was lacking at all. Gentle taste. The seared bonito is thickly cut, tender, and has a high-quality flavor. There are 5 types of snacks (crab cream Croquette, anchovy liver and watermelon narazuke, kelp with roe, green peas with small skin vinegar and shirouri). The red bean liver is creamy and has a nice aftertaste. Fresh and crisp green peas. Kohada Vinegar is refreshing and delicious because the amount of vinegar is quite low. The alcohol is progressing. After the second cup, I had lemon sour. A luxurious lemon sour made with half a fresh lemon in a cup! It seems that selection course will consist of Sushi, and on this day it was Shiurun tan from Hokkaido. Hand-delivered with sugar-free sushi rice and seaweed. The sushi rice that nestled close to the star of the dish, the sea urchin, was just right. The duck served with plenty of green onions is flavorful and tender. The soup stock is also delicious. Finish the meal with Masunosuke (King Salmon) rice in a clay pot. We also do business with Ueken, an intermediate wholesaler whose name is often heard at three-star Restaurants and Sushi restaurants (apparently it's the only one in Nakameguro), and they procure quality products and serve gentle food that takes advantage of the potential of the ingredients without doing anything flashy. All of the dishes were beautiful and sophisticated, and I felt that they reflected Mr. Naito's personality. You might think it's a dignified atmosphere, but pop music is playing inside the store, giving it a homey feel. The sense of distance between you and the owner is exquisite, and I think you can relax and enjoy the experience just by looking at it. I feel like this kind of shop is rare in Nakameguro! [Seasonal selection Dishes (19,800 yen)] •Cold steamed egg custard (prawns, hair crab, tomato jelly, shiso flowers •Homemade sesame tofu •Conger conger (Amakusa), junsai •Takitaki bonito, onion and soy sauce Snacks •Crab cream Croquette • Anchovy liver and watermelon in Narazuke •Kombu kelp with roe •Green peas •Vinegar vinegar, Shirouri •Shiur urchin (Hokkaido) •Duck (Shizuoka), eggplant •Masunosuke Earthenware pot rice •Miso soup
