即位の礼の休日に都立大学方面へ出かけました。
お目当てのお店はお休みで、第二候補のお店は満席。
でも、駐車場からすぐの場所に、気になるレストランを見かけたので、そこでランチすることにしました。
外階段を上ると、何やらメキシカンなフンイキ。
中に入ると夜のフンイキ(笑)
真ん中の丸いカウンターの他、大きなテーブル席があり、窓際にゆったりできそうな席あり。
陽気な外国人のお店の方が、奥の席へ案内してくれました。
ランチタイムはそうなのかわかりませんが、ワンオペのようでした。
シェフでありながら接客もしてくれます。
この方、とっても陽気で日本語のギャグ満載でとっても楽しい方♪
ランチメニューから選んだのは
ファラフェルサンドと、この日の日替わりのキーマカレー
「なんか飲むぅ？」とかなりフレンドリーに聞かれましたが(笑)丁寧にお断りしました。
この後スイーツを食べに行く予定だったので。
かなり広めの店内で、かなりの音量で７０’ｓ頃のBGMが流れています。
ファラフェルサンドは大きめなピタパンサンドが2個でかなりボリューミーです。
パプリカやトマト、きゅうりのサラダも一緒に入っていて、ファラフェルの茶色と緑。
色合いもとっても綺麗～
でもって、このピタパンが小麦の香りがとってもして、すごくおいしい☆彡
ランチに付くスープは、野菜だけで煮こまれたものだそうで、とても優しい味です。
パートナーのスープがなかったので少しあげようかと思ったら、奥から「ごっめぇ～ん！今スープ出すからぁ。あはははは～～～」と豪快に笑うシェフｗｗｗ
日替わりランチでしたが、この日はキーマカレー
サフランライスに、サンドイッチに入ってるのと同じサラダ。
それにキーマカレーで、こちらも色どり綺麗です。
このキーマがめっちゃウマい～～～！！！
そして、白いドレッシングがかかったパプリカ・トマト・きゅうりのサラダとサフランライスを一緒に食べると、これもウマい～～
他の方のレビューだと、アメリカ大使館でシェフをしてた方とか？？
確かに味は間違いのないおいしさでした。
実は、スープに何が入っているかわからなくて、会計の時に聞いたら「味噌だよぉ」と（爆）
その後、野菜だけで煮込。んだことを教えてくれました(笑)
おつりも「２００万円」とか、ベタなギャグをかましてくれましたが、とにかく楽しい時間を過ごせました。
知らずに入ったので、どうかな？と思ったけど、思いのほかおいしいランチをいただけて、大満足でした。
どうやらシェフはエチオピアの方だそうで、朝食には「インジェラ」というテフという粉で作られるクレープのようなものをくるくる巻いて食べるパンを提供してくれるみたいです。

インジェラ。食べてみたいなぁ。
