もしかしたら大人になって(かなりの大人ですが)初めての自力で町のお寿司屋さんかも知れません。子供の頃は家族と近所のお寿司屋さんにいったり、出前をとったりしていましたが最近は回転寿司か立ち食い寿司にしか行っていない気がします。町散歩のついでにランチに伺いました。
暖簾をくぐると思いのほか奥行きがあり、テーブル席が何席かとカウンター。他にはご近所の方と思われる親子連れ、常連さん、年配のご夫婦なと。明るく入りやすい雰囲気です。カウンターに案内されました。清潔感のある白木のカウンターです。家族経営なのでしょうか、案内の女性のスタッフや職人さんとのやりとりも何だかアットホームな雰囲気。大盛りにぎり1600円をお願いしました。ご飯小さめ、という選択肢がデフォルトであるのが良いですね。写真の通り、にぎり9貫、卵焼き、巻物、お味噌汁。びっくりするほど美味しい、というわけではないですが、柚子胡椒と岩塩で食べる白身、ホタテ、イカ、海老、マグロ、トロタクにイクラ、穴子、卵焼き、どれも普通に正しく美味しかったです。1600円以上の価値は絶対にある。職人の方が、夜の仕込みを丁寧にされている姿を眺めながら、ゆっくりとお寿司を食べる、ちょっとハマりそうです。
