中野の街をふらふら歩いていたら、妻が急に目的を見つけたかのように早足で進み始めました。辿り着いたのは、「吉祥寺のアレか」と呟きながら入った、立ち飲みカッパの分店でした。吉祥寺の本店はいつも人で溢れ、注文するにも一苦労するほど敷居が高い印象でしたが、こちらの中野店はまるで違いました。カウンターにゆったり座れるのが何よりも驚きで、リラックスして飲むことができました。
注文したカシラとシロは、期待を裏切らない美味しさ。特にカシラの柔らかさと適度な塩加減は、まさに求めていた味わいでした。店内に置かれたやまーだてつとの人形が、なんとも言えずいい感じで、この店の雰囲気をさらに和ませていました。
吉祥寺のあの混雑とは一線を画し、中野のカッパは誰にでも気軽に楽しめる場所でした。こんなにも敷居が低く、リラックスできる場所だとは思いませんでした。中野、本当にいいところですね。
