It took us a five-minute walk from Araiyakushimae Station through the old-fashioned shopping district to reach Sympathique. With chanson playing inside the restaurant, I wonder if it's run by just the chef and a female staff member? Why are there so many local elderly people? The couple apparently enjoy coming here to eat every week. Three ladies returning from a hot spring trip also enthusiastically ordered. I ordered the lunch course C. Wine is ordered by the glass. The wine selection is excellent. The fish dish was grilled flounder with lemon butter. The sauce was so good that I had to ask for more bread and eat it all. Honestly, it was so good I wanted to lick the plate. I ate it by the tiny spoonfuls. The Yamagata pork Steak is excellent with mustard sauce. Female staff members often carried these hot plates with their bare hands. I couldn't lift the plate. As a former sous chef of Kiyomitsu Mikuni, I can't help it. The food is perfectly done. I would definitely recommend going as a couple. There's no problem going alone. Local regulars keep coming through the doors and making reservations. Good!! This Restaurants I decided to go there for a while.
