店名に”鮮魚”と入ってるし、店頭には生け簀があるし、ランチメニューの先頭は海鮮丼だしで、明らかの生魚推しのお店なのだが、私の注文は揚げ物のアジフライ定食（税込1,000円）。だって無類のアジフライ好きだから。
ケチなので無料だったご飯は大盛りに、ケチだから我慢しようかと思ったがビールは多少割高でも我慢できない体質なので中瓶ビール（税込700円）もお願いした。
メニューには特大!！アジフライ定食と書いてあったが、感嘆符を2個も使うほどは大きなアジフライではない。なんならご飯の方に大盛り!！とした方がしっくりくると思う。ソースとタルタルがついてきたが、私はアジフライ醤油原理主義者なので卓上の醤油を利用。タルタルは添えられていた生野菜に使い、ソースは無視する。
鮮魚が自慢の店だけあってアジフライ自体はなかなか美味しい。でも千円のアジフライ定食ならアジフライは2枚欲しいところだ。小さめのアジでもいいから。
なお私がこの店を利用したのは金曜日の昼時だったが、右隣の男性二人組は刺身定食を食べながら生ビールを飲んでいた。左隣の女性三人組はウニやら焼きハマグリを肴に宴会中。つまりこの時、店内には私を含めて6人の客がいたのだが、全員が平日の昼間だと言うのに飲酒していたのだ。
この店は昼から中休み無しの通し営業だし、昼でも夜のつまみメニューが注文出来る。なのできっと中野新橋界隈の昼から飲みたいやから連中は、ここに集まって来てるのだなと思っていた。
だが、帰り道に他の店を覗くと、そこにも昼飲みしてる人がちらほらいる。何時から中野新橋は赤羽のような昼飲み推奨の街になったのだと思ったのだが、よく考えればこの時はゴールデンウィークのさなかで祝日であり、それなら昼飲みしてる人が多いのも、別に驚く事ではなかったのだ。
無職だと毎日休みのようなものなので、すっかり世間がゴールデンウィークなのを忘れてたってお話。
