Great value lamb chops! A restaurant in Asagaya where you can eat Genghis Khan (Mutton grilled on a hot plate)
Star Road around Koenji North Exit is quite busy, and I have not explored it much because I think it is a place with many regulars and seems to be expensive. I knew it had been there for a long time, but this was my first time trying it. While walking along Star Road, I discovered a stylish restaurant with a very low entrance, like a small restaurant. I wondered what it was like, and when I looked inside, I found that it was connected to the side of the train tracks, which was a fully open bar-like restaurant. I thought, "What?" for a moment, but the menu looked pretty good, so they made a seat for me, so I sat down. The first thing that caught my eye was Genghis Khan (Mutton grilled on a hot plate) (880 yen), so I ordered it. I was happy that it was OK for one person. Cocktails were around 400 yen, so it felt like a reasonably priced Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) bar. The salad served as an appetizer was very feminine. It seemed like there were actually a lot of female customers. Genghis Khan (Mutton grilled on a hot plate) was a decent size, but after I finished eating, I ordered lamb chops (580 yen) on the hot plate. It's like spare ribs, but I think it's a great deal. Super delicious. I also ordered a natto omelette and a salmon and mushroom gratin, and I was impressed that the potato in the gratin was taro. It was super rich and creamy, and made me want to eat rice. MTV was playing inside the restaurant, and I like the atmosphere. The food was Japanese, Japanese-style meal well with Western alcohol, so it would go well with tequila and soda or a highball. I never thought I'd be able to eat Genghis Khan (Mutton grilled on a hot plate) in Asagaya, so I was very satisfied. I'll probably go again when I get my fancy meat fix. I think this is a restaurant that can be used as a first or second stop. Thank you for the meal.

[1 minute walk from Asagaya Station] Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) standard course from 2100 yen
The energetic staff and the 20 kinds of OH! Banzai are popular! GOENya is a laid-back Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) in Asagaya. Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) course from those days 2100 yen I've tried a |
Late at night, I suddenly felt like eating Genghis Khan (Mutton grilled on a hot plate), so I went back to GOENya. It's located on Star Road, north of Asagaya Station, and although the exterior is an open bar, you can order Genghis Khan (Mutton grilled on a hot plate) here. It seems that some people use the counter seats in the back as a bar, and customers who eat meals are at the table seats in the front. For a drink, they also serve shochu, so I ordered Kuro Isa Nishiki (400 yen). A salad came as an appetizer. Next, Genghis Khan (Mutton grilled on a hot plate) (880 yen) can be ordered from one person, so I ordered one portion. Then, there was a paper menu that seemed to be the recommended menu of the day, so I also ordered chopped chicken (780 yen). Genghis Khan (Mutton grilled on a hot plate) Khan had a little more sauce and was about 100g, but it felt more like a light meat meal at Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) than a hearty meal, so it satisfied my meat cravings just right. The chopped chicken looked like a whole chicken, but it wasn't greasy at all, and had a nice light taste that went well with beer. The "Today's OH Banzai" obanzai is 350 yen per dish, but it was a bargain at 880 yen for three dishes, so I chose three dishes: eggplant and ginger, ham cutlet, and plum crystal. The eggplant and ginger ponzu sauce was the perfect match and was delicious as a palate cleanser for the meat. Rather than a place to eat heartily, it's better to go as if you were eating at a bar. The portions are about the right size, so it's just right for women. You can eat a wide variety of dishes, and the alcohol is more reasonably priced than I expected, so it's a comfortable place. Personally, I find it useful as a place to casually eat Genghis Khan (Mutton grilled on a hot plate) in Asagaya. They're open late, so it's a good place to go on days when you start a little late. I think I'll use it again. Thank you for the meal.
