A long-standing Edomae sushi restaurant on Asagaya Kawabata Street
Passing through the brightly lit noren curtain, you will find a counter with 9 seats, a raised tatami room with 12 tables, and a small room with a sunken kotatsu table that can seat 8 people. We offer |
This is the finale of our drinking session in Asagaya! We were actually planning to go to a different Sushi restaurant, but it was deserted! This one was really busy, so we decided to go here. We were lucky to find only two counter seats available! There was only one low chair, but we'll just have to accept that. We toast with shochu and green tea. Pickles are included. We ask them to cut the sashimi into horse mackerel, bonito, and swordfish. The horse mackerel is a refreshing horse mackerel. The bonito is fatty and delicious! My favorite swordfish is also fatty and rich in flavor. We ask them to cut up some of the eggs and make them to our liking. Shinko, new squid, marinated mackerel, raw sujiko. The eggs are fluffy and soft with a moderate sweetness! They were just the eggs we liked. Shinko! A rare dish that can only be enjoyed at this time of year! It was moist and soft, and the way it was cooked was exquisite and it was the best! New squid! This was also moist and soft with a sweet taste. The marinated mackerel was fatty and melted in my mouth. The raw sujiko was seasoned with soy sauce perfectly and had a firm texture. It was different from the sujiko I'd get at the supermarket! There were no prices on the menu, so I was afraid of paying, but I was surprised at how much cheaper it was than I expected! This place was a big hit. Asagaya is a great town.
