「まずければお代はいりません」らしい。
お通し「まずかった」、坊主の対応「まずかった」と伝え、
お金返してもらえば良かったのかしら。
そんな野暮なこと客にさせるより、
もっと謙虚な姿勢を育んだ方がいいのでは。
例えば「ヤゲン軟骨まだでしたか!?申し訳ございません！今すぐ焼きます！」
みたいな一言があるといいかもね。
という感じのウブな店。
......。
ずいぶん前に一人でふらっと入ってレバーの鮮度が良かった覚えのある店。
今回再訪してみて、三度目はあり得ないなと思った。
月経頭痛があったので、甘いものを買おうと街をうろうろしてたら、焼き鳥のレバーで鉄分補給したくなった。
扱ってる鶏は千葉の赤鶏と、山梨の健味どり。
「山梨県産の方が食べたいのだけど」と客引き中の店員に伝えると、
「赤鶏」とメニューに書いてない方が「健味どり」だと教えてもらい、入店。

最後のレバー以外は全べて塩で注文。
朝〆してるだけあって、鮮度がいいのは分かるけど、塩に角を感じる。
塩が多すぎるのか、もっといい塩を使った方がいいと思う。勿体無い。
つくねは、軟骨のコリコリが感じられ、好きなタイプ。
いつまで経っても一番最初に頼んだヤゲン軟骨が来ないので、
やんちゃそうな焼き手の坊主にその旨を伝えたら、
「確認します」の一言。
それから暫く、進展がない。
どうなってるの？って思っていたら、その坊主、
私を挟んで隣に座っていた男性客と知り合いなのか、絡み始める。
その客に「大丈夫？」と冷ややかにあしらわれて引っ込む坊主。
「確認します」はどうなった？大丈夫？と私も頭の中でエコーする。
しばらく経ってから薬研が出てきた。
案の定、忘れられてたみたい。
けど、謝罪がない。

もう一つ、許せないことが一つある。
お通しの吸い物みたいのがしょっぱくて粗末だったこと。
お通しというものは、無断で出してちゃっかりお金をとるからこそ、本来ハードルが高いはずだ。
「店の顔」ぐらい大切なものだと思うのに、手を抜く店が多い。
こういう店はまた行こうと思えない。
こちらのお店、「まずければお代はいりません」らしい。
