On a holiday night, four of us went to "Uma-i Sushi and Fish Cuisine: Fish King KUNI Kichijoji" on the second floor of a small building about a two-minute walk from Kichijoji Station. The name of the restaurant is "UOKUNI" (魚王KUNI), which means "fish king. We made a reservation at Tabelog because it was the beginning of the year-end party season. The price for the day was 5,940 yen (including tax) for the "All-you-can-drink Winter Taste Course". The course included the following items. The course included the following: - Vinegared monkfish liver - Four kinds of sashimi - Deep-fried fugu and fried oysters - Miso soup with nori seaweed - Crab miso salad - Saikyo yaki silverfish - Chirashi rice bowl (Seafood) - Monaka ice cream As you can see, there is a lot to like for the sake drinkers. Good: The fried blowfish was very tasty, as it is from the same family as Torafugu-tei. The saikyo yaki gindara is also delicious. I was told that the final dish was "Kamburi-don" but it contained salmon and this is not a Kamburi-don but a Seafood flyer. Is there some mistake? Too bad. The person sitting next to us ordered a la carte, but the kama-yaki (grilled fish cakes), which cost less than 1,000 yen, was large and looked quite tasty, and since there were many dishes on the menu, I thought we could enjoy it in a way that wasn't a course. The waitress was courteous throughout and the restaurant was clean.
