Sunday, December 24, 2023 Dinner. With a partner. Work in Murayama in the afternoon. We went back to Kichijoji for dinner. I had dinner at this restaurant for Christmas this year. I don't want to go to a restaurant that's more gorgeous than I need to be. I made a reservation about 2 weeks ago. A store that has opened 3 restaurant around Mitaka Station and Cafeterias opened on Nakamichi Street in July. During the meal, I remembered that this place used to be Kumamori Cafeterias. We used to come here a lot because we liked the Bistro tavern days. I was recommended a Petit Christmas course (5000 yen) and decided to order it. I thought I'd be busy tonight. The store thought it would be easy. There were 3 glasses of pairing wine (1500 yen), and they were going to serve sparkling wine, white wine, and red wine, so I ordered that as well. First of all, toast with sparkling. 1: Christmas Antipasto Specialité. Petit vegetable and scallop terrine, Nagasaki tuna micui, red snapper carpaccio, baby leaf salad. Both the low-temperature cooked tuna and the red snapper carpaccio were quite delicious. Terrine thought that the vegetables and scallops would be incongruous, and that it would be nice to have a twist on the sauce as a filler. 2: Pottage of mushrooms from Okayama Prefecture & freshly baked bread with a butter scent. The soup is hot and tastes very good. Although the cup is very small. The bread was also so-so. The background music is a female vocalist. It was fun to feel like Christmas songs and Brazilian music were alternately interwoven. Anyway, I think it's this time of year that Mel Tormé made a great gift to people all over the world by making that one song. From a one-year-old baby to a 92-year-old old man. 3: Pasta of your choice. I chose spaghetti with porcini mushrooms and mushrooms and veal hoho in ragù sauce. So-so. The white was only described as Chardonnay. 4: Grill of your choice. I chose roasted duck from Hokkaido and beef thighs from Australia. The duck was also good, but with berry and blackcurrant sauce, this sauce was very tasty. The grapevine thighs are so-so. The red was also explained only as Merlot. At the end, we had to choose between coffee and Earl Grey, so we both chose coffee. 5: The white chocolate terrine was served with pistachio Ice cream. The strawberry sauce of white chocolate is surprisingly delicious. The dessert may have been the best (laughs). The accounting was 15,200 yen. It was Christmas Eve, so I don't know much about this store on a daily basis, but I had a good time today. It's reasonably priced. I dare to complain that the space was a bit cramped. So I sing one song (laughs). My favorite part is "Like Eskimo" (laughs). ♪Chestnuts roasting on an open fire Jack Frost nipping at your nose Yuletide carols being sung by a choir And folks dressed up like Eskimoes Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe Can helps to make the season bright Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow Will find it hard to sleep tonight They know that Santa's on his way He's loaded lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh And every mother' s child is gonna spy To see if reindeer really know how to fly And so I'm offering this simple phrase To kids from one to ninety-two Although it's been said many times, many ways Merry Christmas to you
