初めてのエスニック店は恐る恐るになりがちだが、ここの料理はどれを食べても安定の美味しさなので、新メニューにも臆さず挑戦できる。フムス(ひよこ豆ペースト)とパン、メインディッシュのケバブは毎度必ず食べる。そして本格派のおいしさながら、安価で楽しめるのがありがたい。営業努力と、立地によるものか。
イスタンブール出身の店主は喋り出すと止まらない。奥様はメニューや文化について、わかりやすい言葉で丁寧に説明してくれるので、初心者にも安心。
入り組んだ店内ながら、ジャズ等の音楽ライブやベリーダンスショーも時々開催される。以前参加したバルカン音楽ライブでは、特別メニューのお料理と生唄・生演奏を大いに楽しませていただいた。
練馬駅西口の線路高架沿いというややマイナーな通りなのと、有名ラーメン店・濃菜麺の隣で、階段下の目立ちにくい入口だが、是非ここのおいしい料理の数々を多くの方に楽しんでほしい。
