Kawayaki Maikeru Nerima branch is Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) located in Toyotama Kita 5-chome, Nerima-ku, Tokyo. The nearest stations are Nerima Station on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line, Seibu Yurakucho Line, Seibu Toshima Line, and Toei Oedo Line. I went to Kawayaki Maikeru Nerima branch during dinner time. I decided to go out to eat with a friend in Nerima, and I was looking for a restaurant without making a reservation, but all the restaurants were full. When I looked into the store to see if Kawayaki Maikeru Nerima store was open, it was open. I decided to eat here that day. I sat down at a table and ordered a cola. From the menu, we ordered kawayaki, yakitori (thigh, green onion, seseri, gizzard) with salt, tonpeiyaki, meat Gyoza / Dumpling, quail skewers, and yam teppanyaki. The signature menu that is also the name of the restaurant “Kawayaki Maikeru”? I tried the Kawayaki, but it wasn't as good as I expected, and it didn't have as much of an impact compared to other restaurants. For example, the 50 yen crispy chicken skin at Denkushi in Kannai may be a big hit or miss, but it has an impactful and unique taste. The yakitori (peach, green onion, seseri, gizzard) was neither particularly good nor bad, and the tonpeiyaki, meat Gyoza / Dumpling, quail skewers, and yam iron plate didn't leave a lasting impression afterward. However, I'm glad I was able to get in without making a reservation while other restaurants were full. I can kind of understand why Harutaya, which I often go to near Nerima Station, is more lively and full of customers.
