巣鴨から旧中山道をブラブラ歩いてきて見つけた店。ＪＲ板橋駅の東口まで１分という近さ。スペインのバルに近い営業形態だが、品書きを見る限り、スペインだけというわけではない。ベルギー・ビールもあるし。西口に姉妹店の「５００円バル」があるとのこと。外から覗いた感じでは洒落た雰囲気に見えたが、中に入ると、板張りの壁に圧倒されて、やや荒削りな印象を受ける。かといって山小屋風というのでもなく、古民家風というのでもなく、ちょっとロフト風に感じる。気楽に楽しめる感じではあるが。
ワイン２杯、メイン料理１品で、チャージ５００円がついて、会計は３０００円。ワイン１杯５００円均一、３００円と５００円のタパス、メインが１５００円という価格構成。ＣＰについては文句ない。ワインも、５００円という値段以上に感じる。ただ、メインのステーキは、やや筋が強く、かたかった。料理の点では、３００円タパス４種、５００円タパス１２種に対し、メインが２種だけなので、やや物足りない気もする。２軒目、あるいは時間調整といった使い方が向いているかもしれない。
