特に強い思い入れがあるわけではないが、何となく宮崎名物のあの真っ黒な炭焼き地鶏が食べたくて、友人と初訪店♪
宮崎のメジャーな焼酎といえば霧島でしょ!ってことで、友人も初めて見たという【虎斑(とらふ)霧島】をボトルで注文。
あの独特の芋の香りは控えめで、まろやかな甘味。
ソーダ割でいただいたが、これなら水割りやロックで飲めそうだなぁ。
厚揚げ豆腐も自家製だし、チキン南蛮も油の切れ具合が良くサクサク感が絶妙で旨い。
食べたかった炭火焼きも、モモ肉かセセリを選べるので、歯応えの良いセセリでお願いした。
炭の香りが鶏の脂臭さを消してくれて、芳ばしさを引き立てる炭火焼きは、看板メニューならではの美味しさ♪
食後、店名通りの店主さんが名刺を持って挨拶に来られたが、人当たりの良い好青年。
名刺の肩書きには「仕事人」とある。
銀座や麻布十番で和食の料理人として研鑽を積んだあと、父親が経営していた居酒屋を継いでお隣の上中里から王子へと移転してきたそうだ。
過去に行われた北区の食のフェスティバルで優勝という実績を見ても、どうやら「仕事人」で間違いはなさそうだ。
