JR北千住駅東口から徒歩4分ほどの”asian bistro 桜 北千住”はいわゆるインネパカレーの店。最大3時間食べ飲み放題付プランは2000円～と安く飲み食いしたいなら、｢細かぇこたぁいいからココに来い！｣的な頼もしさがある。
場所は東口から学園通りを真っ直ぐ歩いて、ファミマの手前の右側のレンガっぽい外装のビルの2F。1Fはリーズナブルにお魚料理をいただけるさかなや いいとこ 北千住店。
週末の13時頃伺うと、階段入口の所にランチテイクアウトメニューが貼られている。チキン・野菜・豆・キーマから1種類＋ナンorライスが付いて399円はリーズナブルなのではないだろうか。階段を登って2Fへ、50席ほどある店内は空いている。1Fの｢いいとこ｣は混雑していることが多いので、魚とカレーの差はあるけど入れなかったら階段を登ってみるのも一法。
ランチメニューを見てみると、ワンコインカレー500円(選べるカレー＋ナンorライス＋サラダ・10食限定)がボトム。ランチドリンクはグラスワイン200円・生ビール280円と安い。

国産牛肉とサフランライスにステーキソース・カレーはチキン・キーマ・マトン・バターチキン・豆から1種類チョイス。辛さは甘口・普通・中辛・辛口・激辛、ドリンクはラッシー・マンゴーラッシー・コカコーラ・ウーロン茶・ジンジャーエール・オレンジジュース・チャイ(Ice or Hot)・コーヒー(Ice or Hot)から選べる。
注文すると水・布おしぼり・サラダ・ドリンクが届けられる。布おしぼりはオッサンには有り難い。サラダのドレッシングはインネパでは珍しく胡麻ドレ。ドリンクはマンゴーラッシー。
10分ほどでマトンカレー・サフランライス・ステーキが配膳。カレーのスパイス感は程々。日本米を炊飯器で炊いたサフランじゃなくて、ターメリックライスは定食屋っぽい仕上がり。薄く切られたステーキはローストビーフ的な感じ。ナンやライスはお代わりOKなのでお腹いっぱい食べるのが幸せへの近道だ。
