JR北千住駅東口から徒歩4分ほどのbistro PAIR(ビストロ ペア)は自然派ビストロ(居酒屋)。
料理はオーガニック野菜などを使ったビストロ料理を中心に和のテイストを散りばめている。看板メニューは店主が沖縄時代にお世話になったというりょう次のイカ墨麺を使った｢白蛤とローストポーク りょう次のイカ墨麺1,650円｣。その他に入手困難な丸上の生餃子を使った水餃子880円もある。お酒は自然派ワインを中心にオリジナルスパイスハイボールやベルギービールなど広く用意しており、スミスティーなどノンアルコールもある。
店名はヒト・モノ・トキを繋ぐ「PAIR」、食事をする上で大切な「PAIRING」、再構築し価値を高める「REPAIR」の意味があるという。プレオープン期間を経て、2023年5月13日にGland Open。現在は1F部分のみの営業だが、今後2F部分ではヨガ、ギャラリー、少人数の貸切として開放する予定とのこと。
近くの大踏切は運行本数が多い常磐線快速と東武線の線路なので開かないことが多い。西口から踏切を渡っても良いのだが、東口からのアクセスをオススメする。
週末の18時頃伺うと、木造2階建ての民家をまるっと改装した感じのお店、1名と告げるとカウンター席に案内された｡店内を見渡すとカウンターとテーブルで17席ほどで先客はテーブル席に3名。現在支払いはカード・PayPayのみらしく現金は使えない。メニューはなく、QRコードを読み込むと自動的にLINEに店のアカウントが追加され、LINE上でオーダーするシステム。フリーWi-Fiなどのアナウンスはない。オッサンはセキュリティ的にLINEを使ったオーダーは好きになれないし、個人のスマホを使うならWi-Fiは設置して欲しい。
＊ハウスワイン赤 蔵 660円
山梨県勝沼のくらむぼんワインが醸す市価3千円ほどの一升瓶ワイン。17杯取りくらい出来そうなので、値段は高め。味は日本の赤ワインでマスカットベーリーAだとこんな味だよねぇ～という感じ。
＊スルメイカと春豆の白ワイン炒め 香草パン粉がけ 1,320円
レモンを搾ると、酸味でイカのコクが引き立って美味しい。白ワインにも合いそうだが、酸っぱくて軽いベーリーAも悪くない。場所柄もう少しボリュームを期待したい所だが…。
支払いはPayPay。店を出たらLINE登録を削除した。
