旅のドライバーが昔を懐かしんで食べたかったカレー。
こちらのオーナーは今は無き女性フォークシンガー中山ラビさん。
昔食べた味を思い出せないと、スタッフに伝えたら、昔のほんやら洞のカレーレシピは同じ国分寺にあるラヂオキッチンで作られているらしい。
今のほんやら洞のカレーは昔と比べると進化系である。
想像より辛口でスパイシー。お腹いっぱいなのに食欲をそそる香り。うまい。
国分寺ヒッピーに捧げられ、長く染み渡ってきたスパイシーチキンカレー。
ボリュームもある。
ここのカレーは熱狂的なファンもいるようで、人気なのがわかる。
コーヒーを丁寧に淹れている背中が見える。
私はチャイを飲んだけど、このチャイもシナモンが強いうまいやつ。
長いカウンターには、夜な夜な集まる人たちが交わす笑い声や酒や涙が染み込んでいるはず。
カウンターカルチャー…
今でも、さまざまな人を受け入れる貴重な場所なんだろうな。
