2023年11月19日（日）夕食。相方と。
午後村山で仕事。夕食は中央線途中下車。今日は国分寺。最初に行ってみた店は満席で、この店の前を通ったところ、空いている様子だったので入ってみることにした。
生ビールを頼んで、看板メニューの一つだという黒毛和牛レアハンバーグの165ｇ（1880円）（ソースは2種類から選ぶのでオリジナルポン酢ソースを選んだ）、海老アヒージョ（1680円）、フィッシュ＆チップス（980円）を注文した。
フィッシュ＆チップスは出てきて目が点になった。魚が小さい。ヴィネガーを頼むと提供していないと言われる。魚もおいしいくなかったが、ポテトがチーズ味なのか何なのか、変な味だった。えびのアヒージョはえびは大きくてぷりぷりでまともだったが、野菜はこの料理に合っていなかった。ハンバーグは火を入れていない生のミートボールが3つ出てきて、自分たちで焼いて食べる。これはまあまあだった。
店内のモニターではこの店がテレヴィ番組で取り上げられた時の映像を繰り返し流している。これはこの店のことを知らない人に観て欲しい映像だと思うが。今この店で食事している客に観てもらっても効果がないと思うが。ＢＧＭはこの店もモダンジャズ。レッド・ガーランドの「Ｃジャム・ブルース」とか、アート・ブレイキーの「モーニン」とか、デクスター・ゴードンとかハンク・モブレイとかが流れていた。
僕が生ビールを1杯おかわりして、会計は8050円と、内容の割に高かった。最後はレシートが全然出てこない……。困っている若手従業員を先輩が助けない……。店内は終始空いていたが、さもありなんという感じだった。
