I've always wanted to go to this popular restaurant run by the owner who trained at Tomoei, but it's so far away that I haven't had a chance. I was finally able to ask. I received the ``Futari Haoriju'', which is an assortment of two green eels, one of which is steamed Kanto-style and the other grilled Kansai-style, for 10,300 yen. Although it's for two dogs, it's expensive. I ordered it by phone in advance and it arrived a little earlier than the scheduled time. It's a remote place that you can't go to without a car. I was guided to a fairly narrow counter seat for two people (though it's far from what you'd expect from a counter), set up in the aisle next to the kitchen. It was right next to the kitchen and people were passing by behind it, so it didn't feel at all calm, and it didn't feel like you'd be eating a 10,000 yen meal at all. When I made the reservation, I was asked if I could sit at the counter since I was alone, so I agreed, so I can't complain, but there were a lot of empty seats, so if I was a solo customer, I would have been able to have a much more comfortable meal if I had been moved to another seat. I think. Maybe all the seats were reserved, but no one came until I finished eating. Coming soon. As expected, there are two of them, which is a huge amount. The eel is quite thick and juts out from the large weight. This is a comparison of steamed and locally grilled dishes. I prefer the melty version from Kanto, but the jiyaki version was not too hard and was quite delicious. I feel that the flavor is stronger because it is not steamed. I've eaten a lot of locally grilled eel at famous local restaurants (I haven't tried Ikebukuro Kabuto), but this is the first time I've found locally grilled eel to be delicious (with the exception of Hitsumabushi). It was the best kabayaki I've ever eaten! It's probably a fusion of the blue eel ingredients and the owner's skills. The inside was melty and the skin was thin and crispy, so I thought it might be good to grill it as well. The taste of the eel is of the highest quality! ! The rice, liver soup, and pickles are delicious. Other than the disappointing atmosphere of the restaurant (seating location) and the slightly fishy smell of the restaurant, it was great. I wish it was a little closer. . However, eel is too expensive.
