Established in 1964. A 3-minute walk from the north exit of Kiyose Station on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line. The store is located across the street from Seiyu, and although it has been in business for 57 years, it has been renovated and the interior has a luxurious and clean feel. At the entrance, you first take off your shoes and put them in the shoe box before entering the restaurant. The restaurant's intention of having you enjoy your meal in a relaxed atmosphere can be seen from the style of taking off your shoes. Lunch Tempura Gozen @ 1,200 yen (extra large portion of rice) Tempura, salad, rice, soup, pickles, pickles, and a sip of shiruko Tempura has shrimp, sillago, maitake mushroom, lotus root, pumpkin, and sweet potato, fried in good oil and crispy, very delicious. The accompanying Tengusa salad is also very tasty and satisfying. Soup and savory dishes are all delicious, but the best of all is the rice cooked in a wood-fired oven. The rice is so delicious that I wished I could have had more because refills are free. The service is also very nice, with a peanut chopstick rest and a bowl of shiruko (sweetened red-bean soup) after the meal. The service is luxurious but friendly. The weekday lunch is very reasonably priced and highly recommended, but the only drawback is that it is very popular and reservations are full, so it is difficult to get in. You will be lucky if you can get in without waiting too long. It is better to call the restaurant and ask how crowded it is.
