・ビーフカレーセット ¥980税込
JR中央線立川駅南口から徒歩5分程度のところにある立川ワシントンホテル内のレストランです。
個人的な感覚ですが、ホテルランチというとイイお値段だし、
雰囲気として若干緊張感のある居心地の悪さを想像してしまいます。
しかし、こちらのホテルランチ、メニューもさほど種類があるわけでなく、
ビーフカレーであればちょい高のファミレスと変わらないお値段で食べれるのです。
しかも穴場というわけでもありませんが、人は入っているものの、しっかりキャパシティがあるのでスムーズに食事が出来ます。
後はレストランの雰囲気ですが、それはさすがホテルであって、
チーフがいて教育された支給士がいてお客さんの動きをよく見ている監視の緊張感はあるものの、
立川というローカル都市のホテルなので若干ゆるい空気感と年配のおばちゃん客層で、そこまでガチガチに緊張しなくて良いのです。
ということで、ランチタイムにサクッとビーフカレーセットを食べてきました。
［ビーフカレーセット］
ハッシュドビーフのようにマッシュルームと生ねぎがしっかり入り、こってり煮込まれた欧風カレーでした。
上から大量にパルメザンチーズがかかり、運ばれてきたときにはカレーのスパイシーな香りとともにふんわりチーズの香り漂っています。
雪が溶けるようにカレーの上でパルメザンチーズも溶けてルゥに色が馴染みつつあるも、カレーをスプーンですくうととろりとしながら糸を引くように伸びます。
濃厚なビーフカレーに一癖加え、個性を出していました。
辛さは中辛で、ほろほろした牛肉と亜麻色に炒めてから煮たであろう柔らかな玉ねぎも旨く、コクというか深みというか。
ライスは大盛りにも出来たけれど普通盛りを選択。
これは失敗したかも。
量は適当であったけれど、もっと食べたいおいしさでした。
大盛りにしておくべきでした。
しっかりした量のサラダと食後にコーヒーまたな紅茶も付いて最後まで堪能。
さすがホテルランチ。
