Lunch on Saturday, December 30, 2023. With my partner. Worked in Murayama in the afternoon. Today I had lunch in Tachikawa. I went to Restaurants on the third floor of the Washington Hotel at the south exit. There were no customers, and I was guided to a spacious seat by the window. This is it. I don't want to be treated like a king. I just want the best treatment at that time. There was a Japanese set meal, but since the name of the restaurant is what it is, I ordered the French cuisine plate, lamb rump baked with herbs and breadcrumbs and berry sauce (1,700 yen) and beef cheek stewed in red wine (1,700 yen). The background music was "Aguas de Marzo" sung by a woman in English. It made me feel very good. Soon, two types of plates came out. Today's hors d'oeuvres were swordfish confit, avocado cake salé, and tandoori pate. Of these, I liked the tandoori pate. Today's mini soup was potato potage. It was pretty tasty. The main course was lamb with berry sauce, both the meat and the sauce were delicious. The beef cheek was stewed with a strong red wine flavor, and was also very good. Two other groups of customers arrived after us. After that, the background music was mainly female vocalists, with occasional male vocalists, and included "Meditação," "Aos Pes da Cruz," and "Corcovado." "Angel Eyes" was also played. There was also music by Carlos Lira, who had just passed away. The music made the mealtime about 1.5 times more enjoyable. Apparently it was cable radio. The bill came to 3,400 yen.
